Yeongdeungpo Spring Flower Festival Introduced Through Storytelling and Magazine Formats Including Tourist Hotels... 1,900 Booklets Produced, Available for Pickup from December to Enhance Tourist Convenience
Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Choi Ho-kwon) announced that it will publish the "2023 Yeongdeungpo-gu Multilingual Tourism Guidebook" to provide diverse and differentiated tourism information and convenience to domestic and international tourists.
The tourism guidebook is Yeongdeungpo-gu's representative tourism information booklet produced in multiple languages for the first time in three years since COVID-19. This guidebook is based on the 2020 tourism guidebook, incorporating new tourism resources and updating existing tourism information to the latest data.
In particular, the district plans to organize the content in a storytelling format, using artwork such as illustrations and a magazine-style layout to captivate tourists' interest. Additionally, as more users search for tourism information online, the guidebook introduces tourist sites through themed curation rather than simply listing attractions and landmarks.
This tourism guidebook includes vivid information on representative tourism resources and cultural festivals by district and area, such as ▲ National Assembly, KBS, 63 Square, Art Square ▲ Yeongdeungpo’s representative parks, streets, cultural assets, traditional markets ▲ Yeongdeungpo Spring Flower Festival, Seoul International Fireworks Festival, Dano Festival, and Sunrise Festival. It also provides detailed introductions to useful tourism convenience facilities such as ▲ tourist hotels, sports facilities, and shopping malls.
The guidebook will be distributed as a booklet measuring 13cm wide and 19cm tall starting this December. The total production volume is 1,900 copies, consisting of ▲ 1,000 Korean copies ▲ 300 English copies ▲ 300 Japanese copies ▲ 300 Chinese copies.
Anyone wishing to receive the tourism guidebook can visit the district office’s Culture and Sports Division or request registered mail from the person in charge to receive it free of charge. It is also available for download as a PDF file on the district office website.
Furthermore, the district plans to keep the tourism guidebook permanently available at airports, tourism facilities, and tourist information centers to widely promote Yeongdeungpo’s rich tourism resources and expand the attraction of domestic and international tourists.
Choi Ho-kwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo-gu, stated, “We hope this tourism guidebook will be very helpful in delivering accurate information to tourists and showcasing the diverse charms of Yeongdeungpo as a tourism city. We will continue to enhance tourism convenience and accessibility, secure stable tourism demand, and further elevate Yeongdeungpo’s brand value and competitiveness.”
