As the largest crape myrtle garden in the country (approximately 42,000 pyeong), ‘Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong Garden’ is well-known as a great spot for flower viewing, attracting around 200,000 visitors annually. Recently, a barefoot walking trend has emerged here, making it popular as a healing and health destination.

Since its opening on September 1, there has been an increase in tourists and local residents enjoying healing by walking barefoot in Cheongsong Garden. This trend is analyzed to be due to the growing interest in barefoot walking’s benefits, such as improved blood circulation, revitalization, and relief from depression.

In particular, walking while inhaling the scent of crape myrtle and the fresh oxygen in Cheongsong Garden not only helps relieve stress by experiencing the beauty of nature and flowers but also promotes blood circulation and antioxidant effects, fueling the barefoot walking craze here.

Additionally, the walking paths in Cheongsong Garden are equipped with solar-powered safety street lamps that illuminate the area at night, creating a safe environment for nighttime strolls. Many people visit to enjoy walking and barefoot experiences while taking care of their health.

In the future, the county plans to install convenience facilities such as guide signboards and shoe racks for those who walk barefoot, and to invite walking instructors to provide educational programs on the basic posture and precautions of barefoot walking.
