On the afternoon of the 10th, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the 7th Sanggye 5-dong Ganchon Eoullim Hanmadang Festival held at Surak Sports Town Baseball Stadium in Nowon-gu, Seoul.

The neighborhood festival is a resident-led festival where residents autonomously plan and promote the entire preparation process, including the selection of location and programs. Since its first introduction in 2015, it has served as a place for community harmony.

Each neighborhood prepares various attractions, food, and experience booths themed around local cultural content that reflects unique characteristics such as symbolism, history, and culture.

The 'Ganchon Eoullim Hanmadang' held that day provided a rich variety of performances, starting with an opening celebration featuring accordion and acoustic guitar performances, followed by ▲Roy's Bubble Show ▲Showhow Magic Show ▲Dick Family Group Sound Band performances.

Additionally, the residents' autonomy committee, Saemaeul Women's Association's various food booths, experience booths, and flea market offered unique enjoyment to the participating residents, enhancing the festival's completeness.

This neighborhood festival runs from September 10 to October 21, and detailed schedules and locations for each neighborhood can be found on the district office website.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, "The neighborhood festival is a cultural festival where neighbors gather in one place and create together," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that the festival becomes a place for residents' participation, communication, and sharing."
