On the 9th, the People Power Party criticized Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who appeared as a suspect before the prosecution regarding the Ssangbangwool Group's alleged illegal remittance to North Korea, calling it a 'democratic fighter cosplay' and a 'nuisance investigation.'

In a statement, spokesperson Yoon Hee-seok pointed out, "Leader Lee, who had been continuing a baseless 'random fast,' said he would be investigated on Saturday to receive less attention, but ended up causing a 'nuisance investigation' that even made medical staff stand by."
He added, "He is once again enjoying 'democratic fighter cosplay' by claiming 'political conspiracy.' Does he have the right to talk about 'people's sovereignty' and 'livelihood' while going to the prosecution for an investigation into personal corruption allegations?"
He continued, "Is it even reasonable for Leader Lee, who is suspected by the entire nation as the real mastermind behind the presidential election opinion manipulation case, to claim 'political conspiracy' with his own mouth?"
Spokesperson Yoon said, "The public is angry and despairing at the leader of the main opposition party, who is frequently summoned for investigations and trials due to numerous crimes, repeatedly responding like an answering machine with only 'political oppression' without even a single expression of regret," and questioned, "What crime does the public have to watch over such a main opposition leader?"
He also asked, "As Leader Lee says, 'making a living is like a war,' then why is he doing such a leisurely fast, and why does he keep sitting in the position of the main opposition leader while coming and going to the prosecution as if it were his own home?"
Furthermore, he emphasized, "We do not expect Leader Lee to respond sincerely in today's investigation, but we hope he clearly remembers that the fundamental principle that no one can receive special treatment in judicial procedures must never be compromised."
On the same day at 10:18 a.m., Leader Lee appeared at the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office to be investigated regarding the Ssangbangwool Group's alleged illegal remittance to North Korea. It was his first appearance in 23 days since he appeared before the prosecution on the 17th of last month for the 'Baekhyeon-dong development preferential treatment' investigation. This was his fifth appearance before the prosecution since assuming leadership. Considering Leader Lee's health condition on the tenth day of his fast, the prosecution had medical staff and an ambulance on standby.
