Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation to Conduct Environmental Cleanup at Siheung Geobukseom on the 8th Gyeonggi Job Foundation took a commemorative photo after volunteering for the 'Gyeonggi Sea Together' event at Geobukseom, Siheung-si, on the 8th.

The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation joined the ‘Gyeonggi Sea Together (海)’ campaign as part of its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) management efforts, working to create a cleaner Gyeonggi Sea.


On the 8th, in observance of Siheung City’s ‘Coastal Cleanup Day’ (the third Friday of every month), the foundation conducted coastal environmental cleanup activities such as picking up and collecting marine litter at Turtle Island in Siheung City. Through this activity, approximately 1 ton of plastic, styrofoam, and other waste and debris abandoned along the coast were collected.


Hong Chun-hee, Acting CEO of the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, stated, "Our organization is actively participating in various activities for a better tomorrow through ESG management," adding, "We will actively contribute to creating a better Gyeonggi-do through diverse public-private and governmental collaborations."


Gyeonggi Sea Together (海) is a coastal environmental preservation initiative involving Gyeonggi-do, five coastal cities, the Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, and 11 affiliated organizations working together to address marine litter and waste disposal. The foundation conducted coastal cleanup activities with local governments and related organizations at Oido Port in Siheung City in March and at Turtle Island in May.
