Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is holding an autumn video contest with a total prize of 8 million KRW.
On the 8th, Nam-gu announced that it is openly recruiting autumn video content that delivers fun and emotion to contribute to the revitalization of the local culture and tourism industry and to discover hidden autumn atmosphere charm points within the district.
The contest is named "Autumn in Nam-gu, Woven with Stories," and anyone interested in Nam-gu can participate individually or as a team.
The theme of the contest allows participants to freely choose locations and expression methods that can promote the charm of Nam-gu.
This contest accepts all formats such as movies, dance, and animation, and submissions should be in MP4 or mov files; videos filmed with smartphones that meet these conditions are also accepted.
Videos that do not comply with the specifications will be excluded from judging, and entries must be original works that have not been submitted to or awarded in other contests.
Only works without copyright issues regarding design, music, fonts, etc., are eligible for submission.
Submissions will be accepted for two weeks from November 1 to 15, with a maximum of two entries per individual or team.
In the first round of judging, 20 works will be selected based on theme suitability, creativity, completeness, and usability, followed by a second committee review and a third online vote to select 9 award candidates.
The grand prize winner will receive 3 million KRW, while one winner of the excellence award, two winners of the merit award, and five winners of the encouragement award will receive 1.5 million KRW, 1 million KRW, and 300,000 KRW respectively.
A Nam-gu official said, "The winning entries will be effectively used to promote Nam-gu through the Media Wall, a giant LED display in front of the Nam-gu Office main gate, YouTube Nam-gu TV, and various SNS platforms," adding, "We ask for much interest and participation in the contest so that everyone can share the autumn charm of Nam-gu."
