Singer Lim Young-woong is generating intense excitement ahead of his nationwide tour concert, with the ticketing company even setting up a dedicated consultation phone line. This is the first time the company has established a specific phone number exclusively for a concert.
According to the entertainment industry on the 8th, Interpark Ticket has prepared a dedicated consultation phone number ahead of ticket sales for the 'Lim Young-woong Nationwide Tour Concert 2023 IM HERO - Seoul,' which starts at 8 PM on the 4th.
The ticketing company plans to operate this separate number exclusively for inquiries related to Lim Young-woong's concert, apart from their official general consultation phone number.
An Interpark Ticket representative said, "While we have previously set up dedicated lines for each venue, this is the first time we have established a concert-exclusive phone number."
This move reflects the high level of interest from many audience members in Lim Young-woong's concert. The company explained that, anticipating a flood of inquiries and considering the relatively older age group of the fandom, they opened a separate number to provide more accurate guidance.
Lim Young-woong will kick off his nationwide tour starting with the Seoul concert at the Olympic Park KSPO Dome in October, followed by stops in Daegu, Busan, and Gwangju. The KSPO Dome, with a seating capacity of about 15,000, is a venue where it is difficult to sell out even for a single day, and it is mainly used by top-tier singers.
Tickets for Lim Young-woong's concerts are fiercely competitive, so much so that the term 'picketing' (a combination of 'picking' and 'ticketing') has been coined. Interest in tickets for the nationwide tour, including the six-day Seoul concert, is already intense. The ticketing company has made thorough preparations in anticipation of this.
Additionally, Lim Young-woong announced his participation in the OST (Original Soundtrack) for 'Sopung,' an invited film in the 'Korean Cinema Today - Panorama' section of the upcoming Busan International Film Festival next month. Although he previously sang 'Love Always Runs Away,' an insert song for the drama 'Gentleman and Lady,' this is his first time working on a film OST.
'Sand Grains,' included in 'Sopung,' is Lim Young-woong's second self-composed song released in June, featuring poetic lyrics and a distinctive whistling melody.
The film production company stated, "The poetic lyrics of 'Sand Grains,' which convey comfort and healing, enhance the message of the film 'Sopung.' The director and production team put great effort into securing the use of this song."
