In a statement released that day, Representative Kim said, "I will now stop the dispute with Lee Bok-hyun, the FSS Governor, who does not show any remorse," adding, "I judged that this case should not be politicized to cause greater pain to the victims."

She stated, "I hoped that the FSS Governor would publicly confirm the facts as he promised me, but he consistently lied without revealing the truth," and added, "I have filed a complaint against Governor Lee Bok-hyun with the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials and have also filed a civil lawsuit for damages."

She further said, "I will hold him accountable for all crimes including forgery of false official documents, disclosure of official secrets, violation of the Personal Information Protection Act, defamation, and abuse of authority," and added, "All materials, including the conversation records between Governor Lee Bok-hyun and me, will be submitted as evidence to the court."

Representative Kim strongly criticized, "This incident is a shameless political operation by the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, where the FSS, which should establish a fair financial market order and wipe away the tears of financial victims, is politically exploited by a governor with a prosecutor background, and furthermore, the tears of the Lime scandal victims are abused."

She added, "I will fight to the end to restore the honor of the Democratic Party and my political career and will definitely win," and expressed confidence that "the Corruption Investigation Office and the courts will reveal the truth."

The FSS announced on the 24th of last month that Lime Asset Management had given preferential redemption of 200 million KRW to a senior lawmaker in September 2019, just before a large-scale suspension of redemptions.

Kim Sang-hee, identified as the senior lawmaker in question, refuted the claim, stating that the fund she held was different from the fund involved in the suspension of redemptions and that she did not intervene in the redemption process.
