Maintenance of Visibility-Obstructing Trees on Major Roads Ahead of Chuseok
Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, has undertaken the maintenance of sight obstruction trees to provide a safe and pleasant road environment for users of major roads in the area and to prevent driver confusion and accidents in advance.
In preparation for the Chuseok holiday, the county has been working from September 1 to September 15 to remove vines and shrubs obstructing road signs and traffic facilities, aiming to provide convenience to visitors returning home and residents using the roads. Using construction equipment and manpower, they plan to carry out grass cutting and sight obstruction tree maintenance along a total length of 39.0 km on major roads including local roads, county roads, and rural roads.
County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee stated, “This upcoming Chuseok, we will provide a safe and pleasant road environment for visitors returning home and residents to prevent traffic accidents in advance. We ask for your understanding if there are any inconveniences during travel, and we will continue to maintain the roads to reinforce the image of Cheongsong-gun as a clean oxygen cafe.”
