Kakao announced on the 6th that it has launched an integrated support site for small business owners to assist traditional market merchants and small business owners in their digital transformation.
Through this site, Kakao provides various educational programs such as usage guides and know-how to help small business owners apply the support funds they receive to their businesses effectively. It also introduces business growth roadmaps tailored to different types of businesses. Small business owners can view various services and support benefits for small and medium-sized enterprises operated by Kakao and the Kakao community all in one place.
Additionally, Kakao introduces “Sosin Sangin Growth Stories” videos on the site, which feature cases and know-how from small partner companies that have achieved results using Kakao business tools. On the 25th, a tutorial video titled “Channel Usage Guide,” an educational content designed to help small business owners easily understand and effectively use KakaoTalk channels, will also be released.
To support traditional market merchants participating in the Our Neighborhood Regular Market, Kakao is also running the “Our Neighborhood Regular Market Support Event” on its social contribution platform Kakao Together until November 30.
Park Yoon-seok, Head of Small Business Support at Kakao, said, “We have opened a dedicated site so that small business owners who are curious about the support benefits provided by Kakao or how to use the support effectively can easily check integrated information anytime. We will strive to help merchants digitally transform so that merchants and customers can communicate more closely through KakaoTalk channels, build loyal customers, and make a practical contribution to their businesses.”
Meanwhile, the “Kakao Sosin Sangin Project” is Kakao’s win-win activity philosophy, aiming to act as a supporter so that all merchants who run their businesses with confidence can steadily grow and become self-reliant.
As part of the project, digital transformation education is currently being conducted at 100 markets nationwide through Our Neighborhood Regular Market, and it is expected that about 1,000 traditional market merchants will gain digital marketing experience through the education. So far, support has been provided for the cost of sending Talk Channel messages worth approximately 15.1 billion KRW to about 49,000 small business owners.
