Galleria百 Joins Commemorative Event for 'World Blue Sky Day'

Lighting from 6 PM for 2 Hours on the 7th
Participation in the Green Light Campaign from the 15th to 17th

Galleria Department Store announced on the 6th that it will participate in the commemorative event for 'World Clean Air Day,' a day designated by the United Nations.

World Clean Air Day is the first UN commemorative day (September 7) established in 2019 at the UN Climate Action Summit upon a proposal by Korea. Its goal is to raise awareness about air pollution and strengthen international cooperation. Since its inception on September 7, 2020, this year marks the 4th observance.

To celebrate World Clean Air Day, Galleria plans to create an image of a blue sky and display it on the building’s exterior. Using media art at the Seoul Luxury Hall, the image will be projected on the department store’s facade for two hours starting at 6 p.m. on the 7th.

From the 15th to the 17th, Galleria will also participate in the 'Green Light Campaign.' This event, hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Organ Donation Agency, encourages the sharing of life through human tissue donation. The Seoul Luxury Hall will project the green light, a message of life sharing, on its exterior media art from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for three days. A quiz event related to the campaign will also be held on Galleria’s official social media (SNS) accounts. During the same period, major landmarks nationwide such as N Seoul Tower, Cheongdam Bridge, and Sebitseom will light up green lights symbolizing organ donation. This performance aims to express gratitude to organ donors and inspire hope for patients waiting for organ transplants.

A representative from Hanwha Galleria stated, "We are joining the campaign to convey the values of environmental protection and respect for life to our customers," adding, "We will continue to use the department store’s exterior to carry out various public interest activities."
