On the 3rd, a post titled "(Because of troublesome customers) I want to learn kickboxing or martial arts" was uploaded on the self-employed online community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' (Because It Hurts, I'm a Boss).
According to cafe owner A, a male customer recently sat on the cafe terrace operated by A and continuously smoked cigarettes while drinking coffee. Although the terrace had a large sign saying 'No Smoking,' the man ignored it and smoked.
In response, A pointed to the 'No Smoking' sign attached to the chair and asked him to refrain from smoking. However, the man rambled and insisted, "I did not smoke."

A said, "We couldn't communicate at all, and I got angry and came inside the store," adding, "When I came inside, he followed me holding his coffee. Then he poured the coffee directly into the trash bin inside the counter."
A said, "I wonder if he thinks coffee shops are easy targets or if he acts like that because I'm a woman," adding, "Every time people like that come, I imagine learning kickboxing or martial arts, beating them badly, and quitting the coffee shop."
The CCTV footage released by A actually showed the man pouring the drink he was having directly into the trash bin. Netizens who saw this reacted with comments such as "Smoking is a freedom, but please don't smoke in non-smoking areas," "Don't harm others," and "I hope his identity is revealed."

This is not the first time a customer caused a disturbance in a cafe for being stopped from smoking. In May, a man in his 60s, Mr. B, caused controversy by throwing a coffee cup onto the road after being stopped from smoking on the terrace of a franchise cafe in Seo-gu, Incheon.
At that time, the cafe owner posted online, saying, "Can we ask smoking customers to refrain from smoking on the terrace from now on?" and "It's really scary and hard. I don't know what to do going forward."
Mr. B was eventually booked without detention on charges of property damage. During the police investigation, Mr. B reportedly stated, "I thought it was a place where I could smoke," and "I got angry in the moment and did it under the influence of alcohol."
