Dong-Eui Science University and BNC Sign Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement

Dong-Eui Institute of Technology signed an 'Industry-Academic Cooperation Agreement' and an 'Early Employment Contract Department Operation Agreement' with BNC on August 30.


This agreement was established to build an industry-academic cooperation system and to foster an organic cooperative relationship between the two institutions for the exchange of knowledge and technology necessary for regional industry development and the successful promotion of the Early Employment Contract Department Leading Junior College Project.


Attendees at the signing ceremony included Dong-Eui Institute of Technology President Kim Young-do, Industry-Academic Cooperation Group Director Lee Hwa-seok, Department Head of Food Service Industry Han Jin-sook, Professor Park Chae-min of the Smart Food Cooking Department, BNC CEO Kim Jun-wook, Director Yoon Geon-sik, and Director Kim Eun-su.


The main contents of the agreement include ▲support for field training and employment of outstanding students from related departments (fields) ▲mutual provision of technical information and research data ▲joint participation and support in educational projects ▲cooperation in joint human resource development related to the Early Employment Contract Department ▲operation of the Early Employment Contract Department and R&BD-related technology development, as well as support and cooperation for various projects and events promoted by both institutions.

BNC, which started in 1983 in Gwangbok-dong, Busan, is a company celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and currently operates nine stores in the Busan area, recently opening a bakery cafe reflecting consumer trends.


Representative products include 'Paimanju,' a pastry dough filled with whole red bean paste, and 'Salad Bread,' generously filled with potato salad.


Kim Young-do, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, “I am honored to establish industry-academic cooperation between Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, and BNC, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and I hope that the collaboration between the two institutions will contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”


He added, “Through this agreement, students in the bakery cafe field will gain experience in various local industries and ultimately be connected to employment, allowing them to settle as local talents, and we will work together to support this.”
