The Ssangridangil area in Dobong-gu is set to be illuminated with starlight.
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced on the 9th that it will hold the "1st Ssangridangil Starlight Festival" in Ssangridangil (around Dobong-ro 112-gil and 114-gil).
This festival was organized to establish the unique brand of Ssangridangil and promote the local alleyway commercial district. Ssangridangil merchants and local residents will jointly operate various programs under the theme of "starlight," including ▲Starlight Performances ▲Starlight Peddlers ▲Moduon Starlight Theater ▲Starlight Walk ▲Ssangridangil Starlight Events.
Under the theme of "Starlight Performances," various artistic performances such as busking, magician shows, and balloon art will take place throughout Ssangridangil. In the middle of the street, a flea market and experience booths like face painting and caricatures will be held under the name "Starlight Peddlers," offering diverse entertainment to visitors.
Films centered on cooking will also be screened. The "Moduon" platform in Ssangridangil will operate the Starlight Theater from 5:30 PM. The first part will screen Ratatouille, and the second part will show Julie & Julia.
The alleys of Ssangridangil will be bathed in starlight. Various starlight illuminations and sound mapping will be installed from Exit 2 of Ssangmun Station to the main alley of Ssangridangil (Dobong-ro 112-gil, 114-gil). Additionally, floodlights and squid-shaped lights will be set up throughout the alleys to delight visitors’ eyes and ears.
To energize the festival, both online and offline "Ssangridangil Starlight Events" will be held. To attract the MZ generation to the festival, a preliminary online initial consonant quiz will be conducted through social networks (Danggeun Market, Instagram). On the festival day, in front of Exit 2 of Ssangmun Station, an event will offer discount coupons to those who correctly guess the names of stores in Ssangridangil.
