Kim Jaegyeom, CEO of Lotte Homeshopping, Joins 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge'

Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 5th that CEO Kim Jaegyeom has joined the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge.'


The Single-Use Products Zero Challenge is a national environmental protection campaign promoted by the Ministry of Environment to reduce single-use products in daily life and encourage the use of reusable products. Since February, starting with Minister Han Hwa-jin of the Ministry of Environment, companies participating in reducing single-use product usage have been nominating the next participants in a relay format.

CEO Kim joined this campaign upon the recommendation of Yoo Jo-hyeok, CEO of SM Shipping. CEO Kim said, "I am pleased to participate in this meaningful campaign for environmental protection. I will encourage all employees to take part in reducing the use of single-use products." Lotte Homeshopping released a video of CEO Kim’s participation in the campaign through its official social media (SNS) channels on the 4th.


Lotte Homeshopping provides personal tumblers to all employees and has completely replaced single-use cups with reusable cups in break areas. They also established a 'Small Library,' an eco-friendly learning space, by upcycling discarded clothing materials. Last year, they introduced a media wall in their broadcasting studio to reduce broadcasting waste. Additionally, they were the first in the industry to implement a bonus point system for eco-friendly product listings and are engaged in ecosystem conservation activities such as pet-friendly beach cleanups and urban forest creation.
