The 275th Extraordinary Session of Hapcheon County Council Opens

3 Proposed Ordinances Including the 2nd Supplementary Budget Bill Submitted by Lawmakers
Total 22 Bills to Be Referred to Standing Committees for Review

The Hapcheon County Council in Gyeongnam opened the 275th Hapcheon County Council extraordinary session on the 4th.

The 275th extraordinary session, held from the 4th to the 13th for a period of 10 days, will refer a total of 22 agenda items, including the 2nd supplementary budget for 2023 and three ordinances proposed by council members, to each standing committee for review.

At the 1st plenary session on the day, Councilor Lee Jong-cheol raised questions regarding “Hapcheon County’s position on the maintenance of various facilities following the promotion of public contest projects and proper operation plans” and Councilor Kwon Young-sik raised questions on “the causes of delays in the National Treasure Theme Park development project and solutions,” thereby reviewing the progress of major county administration matters.

Additionally, the Hapcheon County Council adopted the “Resolution to Urge the Construction of a Memorial Facility for Atomic Bomb Victims in Hapcheon County,” which was proposed by Councilor Kim Moon-sook as the representative, at the 1st plenary session. This resolution expresses condolences to the atomic bomb victims and actively requests the government and the National Assembly to reflect the budget for the construction of the Korean Atomic Bomb Victims Memorial Facility to build a peaceful future society.

Chairman Jo Sam-sul said, “At the 275th extraordinary session, which begins with the rich autumn season, I ask my fellow council members and public officials to thoroughly review various agenda items, including the 2nd supplementary budget, to ensure that legislative and administrative affairs for the residents are properly promoted.”
