On the 15th at the Gwangjin Youth Center, the 2023 One-Person Household Live Culture Campaign was held, sharing stories of single-person households and featuring a lecture by author Kang Won-guk on "Life Study Methods for Living Happily as a Single-Person Household"
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will hold the "2023 ONE WE LIVE Cultural Campaign" on the 15th at 3 PM in the Grand Theater on the B1 floor of the Gwangjin Youth Center (2 Gucheonmyeon-ro).
As single-person households increase, the isolation and disconnection of single-person households have emerged as social issues.
In response, the district, together with the Gwangjin-gu Single-Person Household Support Center and the nonprofit organization Good With Us, has prepared an event under the theme "You Are Not Alone, Like Family, Let's Live Together" to expand the social networks of single-person households.
The event will proceed in the following order: ▲ a congratulatory performance by cellist Bae Beom-jun ▲ a time for single-person households to share their life stories ▲ reading of support letters for single-person households ▲ a special lecture by author Kang Won-guk titled "Life Study Method for Living Happily as a Single-Person Household" ▲ and a closing performance by the idol group Mirae Boys.
During the event, a surprise event will be held where the idol group Mirae Boys will be appointed as ambassadors for the Gwangjin-gu Single-Person Household Support Center and will participate together in the "ONE WE LIVE Challenge."
The "ONE WE LIVE Challenge" is an event to share ways of solidarity and coexistence. It can be participated in through the Gwangjin Single-Person Household Platform app by taking a photo making a W shape by overlapping both hands and uploading it to the hot event corner.
The challenge event will run for about two months from September 15, the day of the event, until November 30. A small prize will be awarded to 60 outstanding participants in the challenge.
The district is recruiting 300 single-person households from Gwangjin-gu residents and Seoul metropolitan area residents to participate in the main event by September 12. To participate, applicants must submit an application form via the QR code or event participation application link and receive a selection text message to join the event.
District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho said, "We are holding this campaign to resolve the social isolation and disconnection of single-person households and to create a culture of living together," adding, "We will discover and support policies that provide practical help to single-person households."
