Eastar Jet Joins Rapid Long-Distance Transport via Aircraft

The National Organ, Tissue and Blood Management Service under the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Eastar Jet signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 1st to facilitate the rapid transportation of donated organs.

The two organizations agreed to cooperate on ▲guidance for airline boarding of personnel involved in organ transportation ▲priority reservation assistance for canceled tickets when flights are fully booked ▲swift processing support and escort cooperation for medical staff within airports ▲establishment of a simple contact system through a hotline ▲and other measures to enhance cooperation for fast and safe organ transplantation.

Through this agreement, on-site medical staff who previously faced difficulties in long-distance transportation due to lack of airline tickets are expected to receive significant support in meeting the golden time for organ transplant surgeries.

A representative from the National Organ, Tissue and Blood Management Service expressed gratitude for Eastar Jet’s proactive and preemptive proposal and cooperation for rapid organ transportation, stating, “We will continue to collaborate to save more new lives through this agreement.”
