Kakao Enterprise "Focusing Company-wide Capabilities on Cloud Services"

Recently, Kakao Enterprise, which has embarked on a rigorous structural reform, announced plans to focus on its cloud business.

On the 1st, Kakao Enterprise changed its service name and unveiled a new logo to strengthen its identity as a CSP (Cloud Service Provider) based on enhanced cloud technology.

Kakao Enterprise renamed its existing enterprise integrated cloud platform service from ‘Kakao i Cloud’ to ‘Kakao Cloud.’ This change aims to concentrate on cloud advancement and to unify capabilities around Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS). Additionally, it plans to improve accessibility so that the somewhat complex cloud technology can be used more easily and familiarly in a ‘Kakao-style’ manner.

The new logo of Kakao Cloud was created using the Kakao typeface to emphasize that it is an enterprise integrated cloud platform born from Kakao’s 10 years of data construction and operation know-how. Along with the service name and logo change, the official website, Kakao Cloud technical documents, user guides for Kakao Cloud users, and the console UI have also been updated to reflect this.

Meanwhile, Kakao Enterprise recently underwent an organizational restructuring. To reorganize its business around the cloud, it launched the Cloud and Search CIC (Company-In-Company). In May, it replaced its CEO with Lee Kyung-jin, who has about 20 years of experience in the cloud sector.

We will continue to focus on advancing technology to improve accessibility so that anyone can easily utilize high-performance, high-quality cloud services at a reasonable cost.”
