Published for the ninth time this year, this report focused on establishing global standards by applying disclosure criteria suitable for accelerating overseas business expansion. Along with this, it emphasized CJ CheilJedang's sincere commitment to achieving the ESG-oriented goal of "Nature to Nature," which covers raw materials, production, consumption, and disposal.

Choi Eun-seok, CEO of CJ CheilJedang, stated, "We are striving to achieve a virtuous cycle system by seeking sustainable growth through entering new business areas and expanding global operations while fulfilling our responsibilities to the environment and society. This year marks the 70th anniversary of our founding, and we will add the full potential of all our members to the long-standing strength of CJ CheilJedang to overcome the difficult internal and external business environment and grow together."

For the first time in this report, sustainability brands and products were disclosed. Last year's related sales totaled 373 billion KRW. In the food business division, there are plant-based food specialty brands such as "Plantable," plant-based beverage brand "Ultive," and food upcycling snack brand "Excycle Basak Chip." In the bio business division, products include compostable biodegradable material PHA, as well as feed amino acid products like "L-Met Eco" and "X-SOY." The newly established FNT business division last year includes natural premium seasoning material solutions such as TasteNrich and FlavorNrich, as well as clean label and vegan-inn products.

Additionally, through materiality assessment, three core areas were identified: "Sustainable Environment," "Wellness and Safety," and "People and Community," with the current status and response plans disclosed.

Jang Min-ah, head of CJ CheilJedang Corporate ESG Center, said, "CJ CheilJedang will continue to fulfill its duty as a global company practicing ESG values and make every effort to promote sustainable growth together with all stakeholders."
