[2024 Early Admission Special] Kyungil University Selects Contract Department Students Guaranteed Employment Upon Admission

Selection of 1,751 Students Throughout the Year
Establishment of Content-Focused Departments

Kyungil University will select 1,751 students in the 2024 academic year early admission. Starting this year, the university has established the SMART Content College, focusing on the content field. It will also select 120 freshmen for the early employment-type contract departments, where employment is guaranteed upon admission.


By admission type, the general student record screening will select 429 students based on 100% student records. Except for the Department of Nursing and the Department of Emergency Medical Services, there is no minimum CSAT score requirement for all other departments. However, the Department of Nursing requires the sum of grades in two of the four CSAT subjects to be within 9, and the Department of Emergency Medical Services requires the sum of grades in two subjects to be within 10.


The regional talent student record screening will select 97 students based on 100% student records. The student record screening with interview will select 305 students with 70% student records and 30% interview. The comprehensive student record screening will select 76 students based on 100% comprehensive evaluation of student records, without considering interviews, self-introduction letters, or recommendation letters.

For the comprehensive student record screening early employment-type contract departments, in the first stage, 100% comprehensive student record evaluation (7 times the number of candidates) is conducted, and in the second stage, 100% interview is conducted to select 50 students within the quota and 70 students outside the quota. No minimum CSAT score is applied, and the comprehensive evaluation uses both academic and extracurricular records. Kyungil University is the only university that operates the early employment-type contract department pilot project simultaneously at undergraduate and graduate levels. This program, conducted as an academic course, guarantees full-time employment upon admission and recruits freshmen by majoring in ▲Smart Factory Convergence ▲Smart Power Infrastructure ▲Smart Food Tech ▲Smart Management Engineering.

The practical skills screening selects 167 and 72 students respectively with 30% student records and 70% practical skills. For the non-quota admissions, there are specialized high school graduate screening (17 students), rural student screening (38 students), and equal opportunity selection screening (28 students), all selected based on 100% student records without applying minimum CSAT scores. Additionally, the Department of Cartoon and Animation selects 68 and 7 students respectively through practical skills screening and portfolio screening with 20% student records and 80% practical skills. The adult learner screening (310 students) and employed worker screening for specialized high school graduates (40 students) are conducted in the College of Future Convergence (night program).


For Kyungil University's early admission, multiple applications across admission types (up to 6 times) are allowed, and cross-application to all departments is permitted regardless of the applicant's high school track (humanities or natural sciences), with no penalty for cross-application.
