Battery separator manufacturer SK Innovation Electronics Technology (SKIET) has obtained the international information security standard certification ‘ISO 27001’ for all its global business sites.
On the 31st, SKIET announced, "Following the certification of the Chungbuk Jeungpyeong plant in 2020 and the China plant in 2022, the recent addition of the Poland plant’s ISO 27001 certification has resulted in achieving a 100% security certification rate across all business sites."

ISO 27001 is a system through which the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) evaluates the systematic operation and management suitability of information security, regarded as the highest authority international standard certification in the field. ISO 27001 requires passing an adequacy assessment covering 14 domains and 114 items. SKIET met the audit criteria by establishing systems to prevent and protect against industrial technology and trade secret leaks.
Information security is crucial in the order acquisition process for separators. This certification signifies that SKIET’s system capabilities have been officially recognized.
SKIET has made various efforts to protect customer information. It appointed a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) directly under the CEO at headquarters and secured related specialized personnel. It regularly conducts internal inspections by analyzing potential risk factors at domestic and overseas business sites. Additionally, it continuously carries out security awareness enhancement activities for all employees, including in-house training.
Cheon Woong, SKIET’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), said, "Through this certification, we have been able to further increase customer trust in line with the global trend of strengthening compliance," adding, "As the importance of information security grows from an ESG perspective, we will further develop our management system and strive to enhance corporate competitiveness."
