Sacheon City Council Holds Kick-off Meeting for 'Into Aerospace' Project

Specialized Tourism Industry Based on Aerospace Industry City Infrastructure

The research group of the Sacheon City Council in Gyeongnam, named ‘Into Aerospace,’ held a project commencement briefing on the 30th in the small conference room on the 2nd floor of the city council building.

The briefing was conducted in depth with the attendance of research group members Kim Gyuheon, Kim Mingyu, Park Byeongjun, Park Jeongung, Jeon Jaeseok, Choi Donghwan, as well as project execution personnel.

This project is titled , aimed at envisioning long-term cultural tourism industry development and exploring fundamental directions.

In particular, by utilizing space and aviation content linked to the establishment of the Aerospace Administration in Sacheon City, specialized tourism industries will be discovered and revitalized to promote regional economic development.

The main contents of the commencement briefing included ▲an explanation of the project for establishing a basic plan to revitalize the specialized tourism industry based on the aerospace industry city ▲analysis of Sacheon City’s aerospace industry status ▲background of the Aerospace Administration establishment and tourism sector forecasts according to future progress ▲and explanations of the direction of related tourism industries in advanced aerospace countries.

Councilor Jeon said, “We are putting our lives on the line to achieve the goal of opening the Aerospace Administration within this year. Taking the establishment of the Aerospace Administration as an opportunity, we will strive to revitalize the tourism industry befitting Sacheon City’s status as a world-class aerospace city.”
