Ford Pickup Truck Ranger, Combined Fuel Efficiency 10.1 km/l
Approximately 1 km/l Higher Fuel Efficiency Compared to Competitors
Improved Fuel Efficiency Along with Space Utilization and Driving Performance
Pickup trucks are the most practical vehicle type in terms of vehicle utilization. In the past, pickup trucks focused on space utilization and engine performance, so it was difficult to expect good fuel efficiency. However, recently released pickup trucks are improving fuel efficiency in addition to practicality.
Ford's mid-size pickup truck Ranger offers powerful driving performance and higher fuel efficiency compared to competitors in the same class. The fuel efficiency of the Wildtrak trim, which can be used for various leisure purposes, is 10.1 km/ℓ (combined). The fuel efficiency of the performance-focused Raptor trim is 9.0 km/ℓ. Considering the characteristics of the pickup truck segment, this is about 1 km per liter higher than competing models.
Ford Korea launched the Ranger pickup truck in the domestic market last March. Ford equipped the new Ranger with a 2.0ℓ bi-turbo diesel engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The front of the Ranger features signature C-clamp headlights to give a strong impression. The interior is finished with soft-touch materials to enhance luxury. When sitting in the driver's seat, most vehicle functions can be controlled through a large 12-inch vertical touchscreen. Additionally, advanced driver assistance systems such as Active Park Assist to aid parking, Adaptive Cruise Control that automatically adjusts the distance from the vehicle ahead, and a 360º camera with a front detection system are installed.
The Ranger Wildtrak trim was developed as a model suitable for various leisure activities. It is equipped with work supports and an electric condenser for using electrical equipment, and is designed to withstand a fixed roof rack load of 350 kg. The biggest strength of the Wildtrak is its towing capability. With a maximum towing capacity of 3.5 tons, it can safely tow various types of trailers and caravans. The Wildtrak trim engine delivers a maximum output of 205 horsepower and a maximum torque of 51 kg·m.
The Ranger Raptor is a model more focused on driving performance. It has a maximum output of 210 horsepower and a maximum torque of 51 kg·m. The Raptor offers seven driving modes, among which the 'Baja Mode' for high-speed off-road driving and the 'Rock Crawl Mode' specialized for steep slope driving stand out. Additionally, the Raptor is equipped with Fox shock absorber suspension, providing stable driving performance and ride comfort even off-road.
