Ascendio announced on the 30th that it will produce MBC's music entertainment program 'Music in the Trip.' Through this music entertainment production, Ascendio will secure music intellectual property rights (IP).
'Music in the Trip' is a regional SONG creation project by singer-songwriters, a travelogue capturing the raw and authentic experiences of singers who take music as their companion. The trip will be divided into three regions: Gangjin in Jeollanam-do, Danyang in Chungcheongbuk-do, and Goryeong in Gyeongsangbuk-do. The program is significant in that it creates new songs discovering the value of these unique regions and contributes to the development of local culture through cooperation with local governments.
An Ascendio representative said, "Through the production of the music entertainment program 'Music in the Trip,' we have expanded our content portfolio to include the music IP business," adding, "Since last year, we have been steadily producing not only dramas but also entertainment programs to strengthen our business capabilities."
He continued, "We are doing our best in production, planning to present a lineup of more than 10 works by the end of the year," and added, "We will focus on producing and discovering works with excellent artistic quality in the content production business sector."
Meanwhile, the music entertainment program 'Music in the Trip' is scheduled to air on MBC at 5:10 PM on the 31st.
