Assemblyman Yang Junsik Emphasizes Administrative Support Including Budget Assistance for Ordinance Enactment
The Gurye-gun Council of Jeollanam-do (Chairman: Yoo Si-moon) announced that on the 29th, a meeting to promote barefoot walking was held in the council's small conference room, attended by Councilor Yang Jun-sik, county council members, local residents, and related officials.
This meeting was held at the suggestion of Councilor Yang Jun-sik to meet the demand of county residents and revitalize tourism, following the recent awareness that barefoot walking helps improve health.
Councilor Yang Jun-sik emphasized, "Recently, interest in barefoot walking among local residents has been increasing," adding, "I hope Gurye-gun also creates various walking trails for barefoot walking to take care of residents' health and attract tourists."
Following this, a Gurye-gun official stated, "As part of flood damage restoration, there is a plan to implement a project reflecting a dirt path on the Seosicheon embankment," and added, "Once the department responsible for promoting barefoot walking is designated and related ordinances are enacted, it is expected to contribute to the activation of barefoot walking."
A local resident attending the meeting suggested, "There are voluntarily formed clubs by creating barefoot walking groups within the area, and rather than budget-intensive projects, please designate barefoot walking paths that are closely connected to daily life so that residents can practically use them more."
Councilor Yang said, "Ordinance enactment and budget support are urgently needed to promote barefoot walking," and added, "I will take the lead in enacting ordinances at the council level after discussions through future council meetings."
