Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 30th that it is recruiting the 2nd term of ‘Gamja (Freedom from Infectious Diseases) Supporters (Promotion Team)’ to enhance citizens' awareness of infectious disease prevention.
The target applicants are young people born between 1991 and 2007 who are interested in infectious disease prevention and proficient in using social networking services (SNS), with a total of 70 recruits.
The recruitment period is from today until the 14th of next month, and applications can be submitted through the Gwangsan-gu website, the official Gwangsan-gu blog, or the ‘Gamja Blog’ internet portals.
The selected 2nd term ‘Gamja Supporters’ will be active for 9 months until May 2024.
They are expected to carry out activities such as infectious disease prevention promotion using SNS, educational visits to facilities used by vulnerable groups such as senior centers and kindergartens, and infectious disease prevention campaigns.
Gamja Supporters will be provided with necessary supplies for their activities. Volunteer hour certification benefits will also be offered.
An official from the district stated, “We expect more systematic and impactful activities from the 2nd term Gamja Supporters,” and added, “We hope many young people interested in the health and medical fields will apply.”
