"Yongsan, aren't you gripping too tightly?"
"Only those who think they can win in the metropolitan area should come"
Regarding President Yoon Suk-yeol's attendance at the People Power Party's training session for the second consecutive year, Cheon Ha-ram, a former People Power Party Suncheon Gap district committee chairman affiliated with the Lee Jun-seok faction, expressed concerns, saying it was "too president-centered."
On the 30th, Cheon said on BBS's 'Jeon Young-shin's Morning Journal,' "There are certainly views that Yongsan or the president is holding too tight a grip on party operations," expressing his concerns.
Regarding the mention of 'prioritizing people's livelihood' at this training session, he expressed skepticism, saying, "We are creating unnecessary and wrong controversies like the General Hong Beom-do issue, so how much public sympathy can we really draw by saying we will prioritize people's livelihood and stay away from political strife?"
About Floor Leader Yoon Jae-ok's remark that 'I and all of us must have the mindset that we are Yoon Suk-yeol,' he said, "Within our People Power Party, diverse voices are already not coming out well, and there are even talks like 'not letting someone board the ship.' In this situation, wouldn't this be interpreted as overly emphasizing a uniform attitude?" He criticized, "One lawmaker is not 'I am Yoon Suk-yeol,' is he?"
He added, "(Lawmakers) should represent the people. But excessively forcing or emphasizing the relationship with the president?I think if the public hears this, they might think, 'We elected them to represent us, but no matter how much they are the ruling party, did we elect them just to be the president's supporters?'"
Regarding the recently mentioned 'Capital Region Crisis Theory,' and People Power Party leader Kim Gi-hyeon’s statement that he would "not hesitate to make repeated visits to recruit talent," he said, "Good people come when it seems possible to win in the capital region. But is our current direction, especially the ongoing historical ideological war, moving toward increasing votes or chances of winning in the capital region? It is going in the exact opposite direction."
