Following last year, a total of 13.8 million KRW sponsored for 4 households over one year
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) held a business agreement ceremony and meeting on the 23rd with the SNS donation group ‘Nanum 2900’ (representative Lee Jae-hyun) to support vulnerable groups.
‘Nanum 2900’ is an SNS group voluntarily formed by citizens in 2014 following the ‘Songpa Three Mothers’ incident to help families in the blind spots of the social safety net achieve self-sufficiency. They have been continuously sharing donations with six autonomous districts in Seoul, including Geumcheon-gu, and two autonomous districts in Ansan City.
After donating a total of 18.3 million KRW to four low-income households in Geumcheon-gu over one year starting last August, they pledged an additional regular donation of 13.8 million KRW to four households for another year.
During the meeting, the representative of ‘Nanum 2900’ and welfare officers from each community service center actively discussed discovering welfare blind spots and spreading a culture of sharing.
Representative Lee Jae-hyun said, “I hope this helps households experiencing unexpected crises to become self-reliant.”
Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, said, “I thank the members of ‘Nanum 2900’ who voluntarily participated in donations to support the self-sufficiency of vulnerable groups,” adding, “We will strive to ensure that the members’ goodwill is well conveyed.”
