Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, is conducting the ‘Again Chuseok’ donation sharing campaign, which collects food and daily necessities to deliver to neighbors ahead of the traditional Korean holiday, Chuseok, until September 7.
The ‘Again Chuseok’ donation sharing campaign aims to bring the joy of sharing to neighbors who may be isolated during the holiday due to the resurgence of COVID-19. Since the 10th, participants including Kim Seong-jin, chairman of the Goseong-gun Community Security Council, the Goseong-gun branch of the Korean Veterans Association, residents of Goseong Koaru Apartment, Goseong Parking Cafe, Han Tae-woong, president of the Baram Youth Volunteer Group, and Hwang Jeong-ho, CEO of the youth IT company Triverse, have donated about 100 various items.
The donated items are sorted and repackaged at the Volunteer Center before being delivered to neighbors in welfare blind spots.
Ahn Ji-won, head of Koaru Apartment, said, “I am proud to participate in this warm donation sharing event that can provide material and emotional comfort to the underprivileged, who have become more vulnerable due to the resurgence of COVID-19.”
Kim Jae-yeol, director of the Resident Life Division, said, “We thank everyone who participated in the donation sharing campaign. We hope that the virtue of sharing through donations will serve as an opportunity to activate donations from all residents.”
Residents who wish to donate items can contact the Goseong-gun Volunteer Center, Goseong-gun Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, or Goseong-gun Community Security Council.
