On the 28th, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce and major foreign media, the United States and China have agreed to form a new working group to address trade (commercial) issues. This agreement came after U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, who is visiting China, held talks with Wang Wentao, China's Minister of Commerce, in Beijing.
The U.S. Department of Commerce emphasized that the exchange of information on export controls will provide a platform to reduce misunderstandings about U.S. security policies. The United States and China have long been at odds over export restrictions on semiconductors and rare minerals targeting each other.
