Creating an Honest Commute with Ocarina & Panflute Performance
Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) announced that on the 28th, it conducted an 'Anti-Corruption and Integrity Pledge Campaign' in the lobby on the first floor of the district office to foster a clean organizational culture and strengthen efforts to improve power abuse in the public sector.
The campaign, aimed at creating an honest and horizontal organizational culture and providing an opportunity for public officials to pledge their commitment to integrity, featured a visiting cultural plaza busking performance by the 'Ocarina & Panflute Ensemble.'
The performance team played integrity songs and energized the Monday morning commute.
With the slogan "Integrity starts right now!", the mayor and about 30 district office staff wore placards and sashes inscribed with their commitment to integrity and promoted the Code of Conduct for Public Officials and the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act to employees arriving at work.
Additionally, they urged active participation in eliminating unfair orders, verbal abuse, and power abuse, and in fostering a horizontal and flexible organizational culture.
The district is implementing various integrity policies to improve organizational culture and strengthen integrity capabilities within the organization, including ▲ operating the Anti-Corruption and Integrity Promotion Council ▲ autonomous internal control ▲ operating the Dongdaemun-gu Ombudsman ▲ customized integrity education for all employees ▲ publishing a comprehensive audit casebook ▲ issuing integrity advisories ▲ and operating integrity supporters.
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, "I hope this Anti-Corruption and Integrity Pledge Campaign will help establish a culture of integrity within the organization," and added, "We will actively strive to spread an integrity culture that resonates with local residents and employees."
