Fourteen wild ginseng roots, estimated to be from a four-generation family group, were found in Jirisan.
According to the Korea Traditional Simmani Association on the 28th, this wild ginseng was discovered on the slopes of Jirisan in Hyucheon-myeon, Hamyang.
The wild ginseng harvested by Mr. A, in his 60s, was appraised as a family group spanning four generations, with the mother root estimated to be over 80 years old.
They were very small and thin fibrous roots, with more than half showing clear signs of having undergone dormancy multiple times.
The total weight reached 102 grams, and the appraisal value was set at 80 million won.
