Cheongsong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, is operating an educational program called ‘Creating Characters from Cheongsong Folktales’ at the Cheongsong Yasong Art Museum from the 26th of last month until December 31st.
‘Creating Characters from Cheongsong Folktales’ is an educational program designed to introduce various folktales traditionally passed down in the Cheongsong area and to allow participants to create characters and objects appearing in these folktales. This program aims to help learners understand local literature and history, instill a correct sense of history about the region in students, and increase their interest in literature and art.
The program is open to students aged 6 to 16 residing in Cheongsong-gun and museum visitors (including kindergarteners), with applications accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 10 participants per session.
Yoon Kyung-hee, the county governor, said, “I hope this museum educational program provides an opportunity to explore our region’s literature and history together,” adding, “We plan to continue offering various programs to enhance cultural and leisure activities for residents and tourists.”
