Dongseo University Archery, Sweeps Team Title at the 26th Korea University Federation President's Cup

Park Se-eun Wins 50m Gold Medal to Become Two-Time Champion

The archery team of Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) clinched the championship in the team event at the 26th Korea University Federation President's National Archery Competition held at Gwangju Women's University from the 21st to the 24th.

Dongseo University announced on the 28th that Park Se-eun, Jo Min-seo, and Han Ju-hee won the gold medal in the team event, Park Se-eun secured the gold medal in the 50m individual event, achieving a double crown, and Han Ju-hee took the bronze medal in the 60m individual event.

The university's archery team advanced to the round of 16 by defeating Andong University 6-2, then won 5-1 against Suncheon University in the quarterfinals, defeated Keimyung University 6-0 in the semifinals, and faced Changwon University in the finals. The match went to a shoot-off after a 4-4 tie, where Park Se-eun, Jo Min-seo, and Han Ju-hee calmly shot scores of 10, 9, and 9 points respectively to claim the championship.

The shoot-off is a final chance given when the match is tied, and in team archery events, each archer shoots one arrow, with the winner decided by just three arrows.

Park Se-eun expressed her joy, saying, “I am happy to win the team event for the first time since the team's founding, and I am truly grateful to my juniors Min-seo and Ju-hee who competed with me. I feel happy to have repaid our coach, who worked hard day and night, with a gold medal.”
