[Featured Stock] Neuromeka Anticipates Global Robot Kitchen Domination... Challenging US NSF Certification

Collaborative robot manufacturer Neuromeka is showing strong performance.

At 11:21 AM on the 28th, Neuromeka was trading at 36,100 KRW, up 10.06% from the previous trading day.

Neuromeka announced that it has obtained safety certification for special-purpose food processing equipment and related parts from the U.S. National Sanitation Foundation (NSF).

NSF is an internationally accredited organization that inspects the quality of commercial equipment and instruments used for handling, processing, and storing food. It conducts certification inspections for commercial food equipment developed jointly with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and only products with this certification can be exported to the North American market.

The NSF certification targets food-related equipment that comes into contact with ingredients and may cause contamination. Through strict procedures, it evaluates ▲whether materials used are safe against thermal and chemical changes and corrosion ▲prevention of contamination due to foreign substance entrapment ▲ease of cleaning, among other factors. Since the certification process is quite rigorous, including checking internal components, materials, and toxicity, products with NSF certification secure hygiene-related safety and reliability in overseas markets.

The NSF-certified product is the collaborative robot ‘Indy7,’ which received safety certification (NSF/ANSI169) for special-purpose food processing equipment and related parts. Through this certification, Neuromeka’s collaborative robot has achieved optimal hygiene levels, safety, and price competitiveness for food and beverage preparation. In addition to the existing F&B solutions for frying, coffee, noodles, and ice cream, the company plans to expand various solutions through future partnerships.

Jonghoon Park, CEO of Neuromeka, said, "Neuromeka is focusing on food tech automation as a key growth pillar and is continuously conducting R&D to supply various robot kitchen solutions domestically. We are acquiring various certifications to enter overseas markets, and with the recent NSF certification, we expect to make a full-scale entry into the U.S. market soon."

Neuromeka has led F&B robot automation by developing robotic cooking automation systems with major domestic F&B franchises such as Kyochon F&B and GoPizza.

Hyundong Sung, a researcher at KB Securities, explained, "Growth is expected due to diversification of applicable industries and the entry of large corporations into the robot market. The application industries of collaborative robot automation platforms are diversifying." He added, "Neuromeka has a track record of supplying automation systems such as presses for manufacturing, assembly, welding, machine tending, as well as R&D and mass production lab automation. Following its entry into F&B sectors like chicken, pizza, and coffee, on June 30, it announced a 9 billion KRW robotic arm production contract with Curexo, a company specializing in robotic arms for artificial joint surgery."

He emphasized, "It is important to note the diversification of collaborative robot applications, including developing robot platforms for agtech companies and smart farms, and welding robot solutions in collaboration with 3D software companies."
