Chong Kun Dang Holdings "Share Love Through Blood Donation"

Jongkundang Holdings announced on the 28th that it conducted the ‘2023 Summer Love Sharing Blood Donation Campaign’ from the 17th to the 24th to help alleviate the blood supply shortage during the summer season.

The campaign was carried out at six business sites, starting from Jongkundang’s Seoul Chungjeongno headquarters, including ▲Jongkundang Chungnam Cheonan Plant ▲Hyojong Research Institute ▲Jongkundang Bio Ansan Plant ▲Gyeongbo Pharmaceutical Asan Plant ▲Jongkundang Health Dangjin Plant.

Through two blood donation campaigns this year, Jongkundang Holdings plans to deliver blood donation certificates donated by 196 employees to those in need, such as families of employees battling pediatric cancer and the Korea Leukemia Children Foundation. Additionally, a matching fund of 10,000 KRW per participating employee will be raised to support the replacement of aging facilities at pediatric cancer shelters.

Jongkundang Holdings conducts blood donation campaigns every summer to address the shortage of blood supply caused by decreased participation during summer vacation and holidays, and to support pediatric cancer patients. Since 2010, approximately 2,120 employees have participated in blood donations, delivering about 1,800 blood donation certificates to pediatric cancer patients.

A representative of Jongkundang Holdings stated, “Blood donation is a small but the most impactful act that can save patients’ lives,” adding, “We will continue to actively participate in spreading the culture of blood donation by regularly conducting blood donation campaigns for Jongkundang and its affiliated companies’ employees.”
