Restaurant Owners' 'Boosting Spirits' Campaign... "Join the Regulars Challenge"

From the 30th of this month to the 5th of next month
Discounts and gifts prepared for small restaurant business owners as well

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 28th that it will conduct the ‘Revitalizing the Spirit of Small Food Service Businesses’ campaign from the 30th of this month to the 5th of next month, coinciding with the Hwanggeumnyeok Donghaeng Festival period.

Restaurant Owners' 'Boosting Spirits' Campaign... "Join the Regulars Challenge"

To participate in the campaign, customers can visit their favorite local restaurants, take a photo as proof after dining, and post it on social networking services (SNS) along with the restaurant’s name, location, and recommended menu items. This is called the ‘My Favorite Local Restaurant Promotion Challenge.’ Required hashtags include #HwanggeumnyeokDonghaengFestival and #RevitalizeFoodServiceSpirit. Afterwards, by leaving a comment with the post link and a message supporting the restaurant owner on the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ official SNS event announcement post, participants can receive prizes such as a ‘Kyochon Chicken & Beverage Set’ or an ‘O Hui Hand Cream Set.’

Several companies are joining forces to boost the morale of small food service business owners. Delivery platforms ‘Baedal Minjok’ and ‘Yogiyo’ will offer discount coupons for the Donghaeng Festival for one week, and NongHyup, Shinhan, and BC Card companies will provide a 10% billing discount when paying at ‘Baeknyeon Gage’ stores.

Small food service businesses have prepared discounts and gifts. Baeknyeon Gage offers prizes such as AirPods to customers who leave SNS visit proof, and Kyochon Chicken and LG Household & Health Care have donated prizes for this SNS challenge. The franchise ‘Ttang’s Budae Jjigae’ offers delivery discounts, and four directly managed stores of ‘Kkankanhan Jokbal’ provide buckwheat noodles to customers who mention the ‘Donghaeng Festival.’ Additionally, Daegu Samsong1957, Incheon Gyeyangsan Traditional Black Rice Walnut Cookies, Hongcheon Sandol Food, and Sokcho Seorak Danpung Bread also offer discounted sales.

The ‘Hwanggeumnyeok Donghaeng Festival,’ which promotes the sales of products from small and medium enterprises and small business owners, will be held from the 30th of this month to the 27th of next month. This year, it will be developed into an economic revitalization campaign featuring various local events and large-scale online discount and promotional events through private and public distribution channels.
