The "2023 Galaxy Fold Cup" is a competition where players compete for the championship by playing Riot Games' high-performance mobile game "League of Legends: Wild Rift" more vividly and immersively on the large screen of the 'Galaxy Z Fold5.'
Samsung Electronics accepted applications on Samsung.com from the 26th of last month until the 15th of this month, selected 64 teams by lottery, and then chose the final 8 teams through preliminary rounds. Starting with the quarterfinals on the 27th at the Jamsil eSports dedicated stadium, the final winning team was determined.
This tournament received great response on-site as the world-renowned pro gamer Faker provided commentary for the finals, engaged in Q&A with the audience, and took commemorative photos with attendees. It was broadcast live on Samsung Korea's YouTube and Afreeca TV, with over 210,000 cumulative viewers.
