Busan Youth Platform ... Online Applications Open, 1,000 Selected by Lottery in September
Busan City will recruit 1,000 recipients for the ‘Busan Newcomer Youth Welcome Box Support’ program over two weeks from the 28th to September 8th.
The ‘Busan Newcomer Youth Welcome Box Support’ project is being promoted to encourage the stable settlement of young people who have moved to Busan from other cities or provinces.
The ‘Welcome Box’ provided to young people consists of a ▲‘tool set’ necessary for residential life and a ▲‘Youth Life Guidebook’ introducing various housing support projects that Busan youth can apply for and receive support from.
The eligibility criteria are young people aged 18 to 34 who have moved to Busan from other cities or provinces since January of this year. Applications can be submitted online through the Busan Youth Platform from the 28th to September 8th.
The required document is one copy of the ‘Resident Registration Abstract including address changes within the last year,’ issued after the application start date of the 28th.
Detailed information regarding the recruitment can be found on the Busan Youth Platform and the official announcement.
The city plans to conduct a document review for applicants in September and select 1,000 recipients through a lottery. The Welcome Boxes will be delivered by courier to the recipients’ registered residential addresses.
Nam Jeong-eun, Director of the Youth Industry-Academia Bureau, stated, “We hope the ‘Busan Newcomer Youth Welcome Box Support’ project will help young people settling in Busan with their residential life,” and added, “We will continue to promote various projects that assist youth living in Busan to create ‘Busan, a city where young people want to live.’”
