Jungnang-gu Holds '2023 Seoul Rose Festival' Results Report Meeting

On the afternoon of the 25th, the Jungnang Cultural Foundation (Chairman Pyo Jae-soon) held the ‘2023 Seoul Rose Festival’ results report meeting at the underground auditorium of Jungnang-gu Office.


The results report meeting was attended by about 200 people, including Pyo Jae-soon, Chairman of the Jungnang Cultural Foundation, Yoo Kyung-ae, CEO of the Jungnang Cultural Foundation, and Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, to discuss the results of the ‘2023 Seoul Rose Festival,’ future festival development plans, and to gather various opinions.


Additionally, a ‘Revisiting the 2023 Seoul Rose Festival Photo Exhibition’ and an ‘Exhibition of Award-Winning Works from the Digital Poetry Contest’ were also prepared to relive the moments of the festival.


‘The Most Beautiful Festival in Seoul, 2023 Seoul Rose Festival,’ under the theme ‘Bloom Again Jungnang,’ was promoted with four core strategies: ▲Developing specialized programs led by residents ▲Revitalizing the local economy through the festival ▲Embedding culture into roses ▲Operating an eco-friendly festival through the ZeROSE Waste campaign. The festival operated a more diverse range of programs than previous years, including 8 resident participation programs, 5 local economic revitalization programs, 11 eco-friendly programs, and 7 rose-related programs.


As a result, 6,877 residents and 355 local organizations participated in creating the festival together. The direct economic effect of the festival was 14.6 billion KRW, and the sales revenue of local participation booths amounted to 820 million KRW, significantly contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.


According to the 2023 festival evaluation results, the festival received high marks in areas such as ▲Expansion of resident participation ▲Revitalization of the local economy through the festival ▲Increase in Jungnang-gu’s brand value ▲Strengthening the unique identity of Jungnang-gu’s rose festival ▲Progress toward an eco-friendly festival.


The Jungnang Cultural Foundation stated that it will continue efforts to improve areas such as ▲Strengthening the systematic organization of festival operations ▲Expanding festival convenience and safety facilities ▲Developing signature programs unique to the Seoul Rose Festival ▲Improving visitor convenience through enhanced festival promotion and guidance.


Yoo Kyung-ae, CEO of the Jungnang Cultural Foundation, said, “The successful hosting of the Seoul Rose Festival, representing Jungnang-gu, was thanks to all Jungnang residents preparing together with one heart,” adding, “We will do our best to develop the festival into a more global flower festival in the future.”


Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Jungnang-gu will also join forces to ensure that the Seoul Rose Festival continues to be a safe and enjoyable festival and a source of pride for residents.”
