The LG-KOICA Hope Vocational Training School was established in 2014 through cooperation between LG, KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), and the Ethiopian government as a token of gratitude for participation in the Korean War. All graduates have successfully entered society by finding jobs at various IT companies as well as LG Electronics or starting their own businesses using the skills they acquired. This year, 63 students graduated.
Meanwhile, about 20 key figures attended the graduation ceremony, including Teshale Berecha, Deputy Minister of Labor and Skills Development of Ethiopia; Kang Seok-hee, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ethiopia; Ha Young-jae, Vice Chairman of World Together; Yoon Dae-sik, Executive Vice President of External Cooperation at LG Electronics; and Lee Dong-won, Head of the Kenya Corporation.
