Representative classes for this autumn semester include "Seasonal Gourmet Companionship." Participants will visit Gapyeong Jat Farm owned by Lee Su-geun, a 40-year master of pine nuts, and Buyeo Juam Farm, known for harvesting high-quality chestnuts. Activities such as forest trail trekking, harvesting experiences, and cooking classes using the harvested products will be conducted.
"Pre-tasting Cooking" is a newly added class this year. Chef Park Seong-bae's "Onharu Seasoning" class, and classes featuring holiday dishes such as Korean beef short rib stew and dongchimi (radish water kimchi) presented by the head of Nampa Gotaek in Naju, Jeollanam-do, allow participants to sample Lotte Department Store's Chuseok gift sets in advance.
Additionally, hybrid classes combining two themes will be introduced. These include a space docent tour and traditional Korean stationery (munbangsau) experience at the exhibition space Bohyeonjae by Korean calligrapher Iljung Kim Chung-hyun, as well as clothing lacquer craft and artist talks by artist Kim Ok.
Yoon Jae-won, head of the ESG team, said, "The autumn semester at the cultural center is the most popular semester among students," adding, "This time, we have especially increased external lectures to provide a richer variety of experiences and the joy of learning."
