"I'm planning to challenge myself with an overseas sales position. Could you be the interviewer so I can rehearse the interview?"
"I'm trying to get investment for a customized meal subscription service. Please draft a pitch deck."
Naver is becoming smarter by integrating generative artificial intelligence (AI). Starting today (the 24th), the general public will have the opportunity to try it for free. It accurately understands requests and instructions like the examples above and provides appropriate responses. When asked to act as an interviewer, it can engage in continuous conversations with the user, asking questions such as self-introduction, motivation for applying, and job-related experience. For requests to draft a pitch deck, it organizes the content into various sections such as service introduction, features and advantages, market analysis, and expected revenue. Users can utilize 'ClovaX,' a conversational AI service based on Naver's generative AI 'HyperCLOVA X.' The beta service launches today at 4 p.m. By typing ClovaX into the search bar and opening the service application page, anyone can enter their email address and try it for free.
On the same day, Naver introduced its business strategy centered on the generative AI 'HyperCLOVA X' at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
The previously introduced ClovaX aims to make individuals' daily lives more convenient and enhance work productivity. ClovaX possesses proficiency in Korean and English and vast knowledge. It can assist with business writing such as reports or self-introductions, as well as be used for interview practice, counseling, and various other purposes. In other words, it can be seen as a service similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT, capable of creation, summarization, inference, and translation.
In the future, Naver plans to provide an even more convenient service experience through a system called 'Skills,' which connects various service APIs. This system can complement answers that have limitations when relying solely on the language model's generative capabilities, such as searching for the latest information, booking places, or purchasing products. ClovaX will first enhance its ability to recommend products or places by linking with Naver Shopping and Naver Travel, and later enable seamless calls to external services outside of Naver through natural conversations.

While ClovaX is a tool for individual users, 'Project ConnectX' is a productivity tool for enterprises. It allows easy execution of professional tasks including design and coding. Seong Nak-ho, Head of HyperScale AI Technology at Naver Cloud, explained, "It can automatically detect and recommend tasks to be done today in a corporate environment and suggest email replies, significantly improving work productivity."
The generative AI-based search service 'CUE:' is also expected to increase satisfaction with Naver Search. CUE: analyzes the latest information within content with clear sources to generate answers to complex questions. The answers provided are generated by comprehensively analyzing various search results such as Naver Encyclopedia, blog posts, the Korea Meteorological Administration, and other official websites. Kim Yong-beom, Head of AI Technology at Naver Search US, introduced, "It can understand complex and lengthy queries containing multiple intents and provide multidimensional search results by utilizing reliable and up-to-date information necessary for answer generation." CUE: will start its beta service next month and will be gradually applied to Naver Search starting this November.
A cloud service called 'NeuroCloud' for companies wishing to build their own generative AI was also unveiled on the same day. Its key feature is the ability to create specialized large language models trained on their own data safely without security concerns. Naver is expanding the AI ecosystem and aiming for greater growth by establishing an 'AI Alliance' to continue collaboration. Additionally, it plans to open a data center in Sejong City this November, capable of housing over 600,000 units of servers, the largest scale in Asia.
