Held Twice Weekly Until the 1st of Next Month... Encouraging Community-Led Project Participation
Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Hee-su) is conducting basic education for farmers to promote the Rural New Vitality Plus Project.
According to the county on the 23rd, the education is held twice a week from the 22nd of last month until the 1st of next month to understand the basic plan for establishing the Jindo Food Hub through the creation of a community-centered convergence industry ecosystem and to encourage citizen-led project participation.

The target audience includes farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and crop groups, as well as citizens who wish to participate in the education. Participants can complete the course by attending at least 70% of the sessions, and the tuition is free. Inquiries can be made to the Jindo-gun New Vitality Plus Promotion Team.
Participants in the education will be granted eligibility to participate in the New Vitality Community Project contest and special privileges for involvement in the New Vitality Project.
The Rural New Vitality Plus Project is a program that utilizes regional assets and private organizations established through regional development projects to advance specialized industries, support the processing and sales of agricultural products produced by local communities, foster cultural and tourism industries, and create jobs. It was finally selected in last year's contest project, securing a project budget of 7 billion KRW.
This education invites Professor Kim Young-il from Chonnam National University and others to clearly explain △ Understanding the New Vitality Plus Project and Jindo-gun policies △ Understanding local food and food plans and rural tourism commercialization strategies △ Regional resource commercialization strategies.
Governor Kim Hee-su said, “Through this education, I hope to utilize the abundant resources within our region and inject vitality to promote regional economic revitalization,” adding, “I hope to contribute to regional development through the discovery of capable talents and job creation by developing various contents for the autonomous growth of our region.”
