Virtualization solution specialist Pillaware (CEO Kim Yoon-chul) is expected to make its entry into the global market more visible with the release of an upgraded version of its solution Smart Cloud Portal (hereinafter SCP).
SCP not only manages the basic functions of VM Lifecycle based on HR but also supplements various environments provided by VMware Horizon, allowing VDI administrators and users without specialized knowledge to easily manage or use virtual environments.
Pillaware will participate in the VMware Explore event held in Las Vegas, USA, from August 21 to August 24 (local time) with SCP. This marks the second consecutive year participating as an Exhibitor Plus since last year.
At last year’s VMware event, SCP was introduced to the US market for the first time and received enthusiastic reviews. After the event, product surveys were conducted with about 500 global corporate customers worldwide, and the needs obtained through this were reflected in upgrades over the past year.
Pillaware has been focusing its investment solely on advancing the SCP product with the goal of becoming a global DaaS DX vendor within five years. Since SCP was developed to provide DaaS and SaaS by supplementing functions based on global market standards, it is expected that this year there will be discussions related to the practical adoption review by global corporate customers.
A Pillaware representative stated, “We have already fired the starting shot for overseas expansion by signing a single supply contract worth over 1 billion KRW with a local company in Austin, USA,” adding, “SCP is also expected to be actively sold in the US starting from the second half of this year.”
Meanwhile, Pillaware was selected as a VMware Pinnacle Partner based on its skilled virtualization solution consulting, IT development technology, and system operation know-how, and these technical capabilities have always been reflected in its solution SCP.
Going forward, as VMware’s highest-grade technology partner in the enterprise software sector and a global vendor of DaaS DX products, Pillaware is expected to expand its business bases and achieve sales growth targeting the global market.
