A self-parking 4-story, 5-level parking tower with a total floor area of 8,207㎡, capable of accommodating up to 266 vehicles, will be constructed near Exit 1 of Bukhansan Ui Station on the Ui-Sinseon Line, at Ui-dong Traffic Plaza.
Gangbuk-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Soon-hee) announced on the 23rd that it plans to complete the construction project of the Ui-dong Traffic Plaza public parking lot (around 101-4, Ui-dong San) by 2025, with a total project cost of 36.9 billion KRW.
This parking lot project has gained further momentum after securing a subsidy of 22 billion KRW from the Seoul Metropolitan Government. A district official stated that this project is expected to resolve the chronic illegal parking issues in the Ui-dong area and enhance convenience for visitors to Bukhansan and the Uiryeong Forest Cultural Village, thereby contributing to the revitalization of the local economy.
Lee Soon-hee, Mayor of Gangbuk-gu, said, “Solving parking problems is directly related to public welfare and leads to the revitalization of the local economy. We will do our best to promptly complete the remaining administrative procedures so that the public parking lot in Ui-dong can be built without any setbacks.”
