Kim Gilsung, Mayor of Jung-gu, Encourages Jung-gu Office Women's Wrestling Team Departing for Training Camp in Mongolia
On the 22nd, Kim Gilsung, Mayor of Jung-gu, invited the Jung-gu Office women's wrestling team players, who are leaving for a training camp in Mongolia, to the mayor's office for an encouragement meeting.
Since its establishment in 2008, the Jung-gu Office women's wrestling team has represented Jung-gu as a workplace sports team for 15 years, producing national team athletes and enhancing the region's prestige. From the 27th, they will depart for Mongolia for a 30-day training camp to improve their skills and enhance their performance.
At the meeting, Mayor Kim Gilsung urged Coach Lee Jongho to "thoroughly check that the training camp accommodations and environment are clean and safe, and to ensure the team trains and returns without injuries," while presenting encouragement funds to the team. He also encouraged Jeong Seoyeon (28), who passed the national team selection as the final first place in the 76Kg category and is preparing to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games this October, saying, "Please show the skills you have honed without reservation."
Mayor Kim Gilsung said, "I am proud of the Jung-gu athletes who have silently worked hard and trained under difficult conditions such as the rainy season and heat waves," and added, "I hope this training camp will help our wrestling team become a team that instills greater pride in the residents of Jung-gu, and I will always support you."
