Various Experience Events Held and Photo Zones Created
Jeonnam Hampyeong-gun announced on the 22nd that the 24th Hampyeong Moaksan Red Spider Lily Festival will be held under the theme "The Red Wave of Red Spider Lilies Settles in Hampyeong" from September 15 to 17 at the Yongcheonsa Red Spider Lily Park area in Haebom-myeon.
The Hampyeong Moaksan Red Spider Lily Festival takes place in the Yongcheonsa Red Spider Lily Park area in Haebom-myeon, one of the largest red spider lily colonies in Korea.
This festival utilizes the red spider lily, which has been selected as one of Korea's top 100 natural scenic spots, ranking 48th.
Until last year, the festival was hosted by Haebom-myeon and organized by the Haebom-myeon Red Spider Lily Grand Festival Promotion Committee.
Starting this year, Hampyeong-gun hosts the festival, and the Hampyeong Festival Tourism Foundation organizes it.
As the festival is now hosted by the county, various experiential events using red spider lilies, which were not seen in previous festivals, will be held, and photo zones will be created.
Main programs include a red spider lily life-shot photo tour at Yongcheonsa Red Spider Lily Park for families and couples to enjoy together, a red spider lily wedding photo zone, the Moaksan Red Spider Lily Good Trekking event to promote Moaksan Mountain, and a forest outing experience to explore the 100 scenic spots of red spider lilies.
Additionally, various experiential events such as making natural handkerchiefs using red spider lilies, face painting, and fan making are also prepared.
County Governor Lee Sang-ik stated, "As this is the first festival hosted by the county, we will do our best to ensure that tourists can create beautiful memories in Hampyeong."
