Food Education Utilizing Icheon Rice and Janghowon Peaches
The Agricultural Technology Center of Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do announced on the 22nd that it will recruit trainees for the "Traditional Food Manufacturing Practice Training Using Our Agricultural Products" from the 23rd to the 31st.
This training will introduce traditional food manufacturing techniques to promote the consumption of local representative agricultural products, 'Imgeumnim-pyo Icheon Rice' and 'Haetsare Peach.'
The training will be conducted by Kim Dong-ho, head of the Agricultural Processing Team in the Research and Development Department at the Icheon Agricultural Technology Center, who developed peach Makgeolli and peach Sikhye.
The training consists of ▲ making rice nuruk (fermentation starter) ▲ brewing peach Makgeolli ▲ making peach puree ▲ practicing peach Sikhye production. It will be held seven times in total from September 11 to 26, with three in-person sessions and four online sessions.
Any Icheon citizen can apply, and priority will be given to retirees and women with career interruptions as part of a pilot operation for startup incubating.
